Terms of Service

These terms set out the agreement between you and SQE Simplified for the use of our study platform. Please read them carefully, because by creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by them.

Last updated: 27 June 2026

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The platform is operated under the trading name SQE Simplified. If you have any questions about these terms, you can reach us at support@sqesimplified.com.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform. When you create an account you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so please tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission.

Accounts are personal to you. You may not share your login, transfer your account, or allow anyone else to use your access.

3. What the service provides

SQE Simplified offers study materials and practice tools for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination, including study notes, multiple choice practice, mock exams, scenario practice, progress tracking, and related features. Some features are free and others are available only on a paid plan.

We work hard to keep our content accurate and aligned with the format of the assessments, but the law changes and the platform is provided for study purposes only. Nothing on the platform is legal advice, and we do not guarantee any particular exam result.

4. Plans, pricing, and payment

The features included in each plan, and the price of each plan, are shown on our pricing page. Where a plan is a recurring subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to take payment for each billing period until you cancel. Where a purchase is a one off payment, it grants access to the specified content.

We may change our prices from time to time. Any change to a recurring subscription price will apply only from your next billing period after we have told you.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time, and your rights to a refund are explained in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, redistribute, resell, or publish our content, in whole or in part, outside your personal study use
  • use automated tools to scrape, download, or harvest content from the platform
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes the rights of others, including in community discussion features
  • use the service in any way that disrupts it for other users

7. Community and user content

Where the platform lets you post in discussion areas, you remain responsible for what you post and you grant us permission to display it within the service. We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

8. Intellectual property

All study materials, questions, scenarios, software, branding, and other content on the platform belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non transferable, non exclusive licence to use them for your own exam preparation while your account is active. No other rights are granted.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, and we will try to keep any disruption to a minimum.

10. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for any exam outcome, or for loss arising from your failure to follow reasonable instructions.

If you are using the platform as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where we are required to do so by law. Where it is fair to do so, we will give you notice first.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or to our features. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
