What is the SQE?
The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is the centralised assessment that most people must pass to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales. It is set in two stages: SQE1, which tests functioning legal knowledge through multiple choice questions, and SQE2, which tests practical legal skills.
What is the difference between SQE1 and SQE2?
SQE1 assesses your legal knowledge across two multiple choice papers, known as FLK1 and FLK2. SQE2 assesses practical skills such as client interviewing, advocacy, legal writing, legal drafting, legal research, and case and matter analysis.
How do I qualify as a solicitor through the SQE?
You need a degree or an equivalent qualification, a pass in both SQE1 and SQE2, two years of qualifying work experience, and you must meet the Solicitors Regulation Authority's character and suitability requirements.
How is SQE1 structured?
SQE1 is made up of two papers, FLK1 and FLK2. Each paper contains 180 single best answer multiple choice questions, giving 360 questions in total, and the two papers are sat on separate days.
What does SQE Simplified include?
SQE Simplified brings concise revision notes organised by topic, single best answer practice questions with full explanations, realistic mock exams, SQE2 scenario practice with written feedback, progress tracking, and a study planner into one place.
How much does SQE Simplified cost?
You can buy only the parts you are sitting rather than one expensive bundle, with monthly or one-time options. The current price for each subject and for the full bundle is shown on the pricing page.
Is SQE Simplified affiliated with the SRA or Kaplan?
No. SQE Simplified is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, or connected to the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Kaplan, or any official SQE assessment provider. References to the SQE are descriptive only.
Can I use SQE Simplified on my phone?
Yes. The platform runs in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, and mobile, so you can revise at home or on the move.
Does SQE Simplified guarantee that I will pass?
No. We provide educational study materials only. We do not guarantee examination success or qualification as a solicitor.
Is the AI feedback official SQE marking?
No. AI feedback is for study support only. It is not official SQE marking, legal advice, academic advice or a guarantee of exam performance.
Can I share my account with someone else?
No. Each account is for one individual user only. Returning learner discounts are linked to the original buyer's account and cannot be transferred or shared.

If you pay once for a package, you keep access to that content with no recurring charge, for as long as your account remains active and subject to our Terms. If you choose a monthly plan, you keep full access for as long as your subscription is active, and you can cancel at any time. All materials are accessed online through your account, and we may update or improve them over time.
Is SQE Simplified legal advice?

Are monthly plans subscriptions?

Can I cancel a monthly plan?
