Preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam is hard enough without it feeling lonely, scattered, or needlessly expensive. We understand the pressure because we have carried it ourselves, and we built the resource we wish we had.

We are a team of lawyers, based around the world, who have sat the SQE ourselves: some SQE1, some SQE2, and many of us both. Several of us were already practising in our home jurisdictions, and even then the sheer breadth and depth of the assessment caught us off guard.
We went through the same exam, the same pressure, and the same scramble to make sense of it all. That is exactly why we built SQE Simplified: a calm, organised place, designed and curated by people who have been through it, to help you get through it too.
The stakes are not only academic. Most candidates are balancing a career, a deadline, and a real cost if things do not go to plan. Here is what is actually riding on the result.
Most candidates are working towards a training contract or a qualification deadline. A single fail can push back your start as a qualified solicitor, disrupt how your qualifying work experience lines up, and, where a firm is funding you, put sponsorship or contractual terms at risk.
Each of SQE1 and SQE2 allows only three attempts within a six-year window, and you cannot sit SQE2 until you have passed SQE1. As of 2026 the SRA fees are £1,934 for SQE1 and £2,974 for SQE2, so every resit means paying again and waiting months for the next sitting.
For candidates here on a Student or Skilled Worker visa, the margin is thinner still. Repeated resit delays can run past your visa validity, and exhausting all three attempts ends your SQE route entirely, with no automatic right to remain in the country simply to try again.
Fees are set by the SRA and change periodically; always check the SRA website for current figures.
Every part of the platform is designed and curated by people who sat these exams, not churned out in bulk. That focus comes down to three things.
Structured study notes, interactive lessons, mind maps, and flashcards for both FLK1 and FLK2, so you always know exactly where you are and what to study next.
Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced practice, full length mock exams, and SQE2 scenarios with model answers, so your confidence grows steadily rather than all at once.
No hidden tiers and no pressure tactics. Work through a whole subject for free and decide for yourself, with pricing that respects how much you are already spending.
